Driving from the North:
Follow the road signs for the A9 South towards Perth. Approximately eight miles south of Inverness, take the B851 signposted for Fort Augustus. Follow this road for five miles until you come to the village of Farr. Farr House is located 500 metres on from Farr village and will be situated on your left. A wooden house sign and gatehouse indicate the entrance to the driveway. Farr is approximately 20 minutes from Inverness.
Driving from the South:
Leave the A9 at the B851 Fort Augustus exit, and follow directions given above. Farr House is approximately 40 minutes from Aviemore.
By plane:
Flights to Inverness are available from London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, Belfast, Bristol, Dublin, Jersey, Amsterdam, and Geneva.
Directions from Inverness airport (c. 30 mins):
Follow signs to Inverness City centre/A9. Join the A9 Southbound (Perth), and then follow directions given above. Farr House is approximately 17 miles from the airport.
By train:
Trains to Inverness leave daily from London Kings Cross and follow the main Eastern rail route. These are operated by Virgin Trains East Coast: www.virgintrainseastcoast.com
A sleeper train is available from London Euston, operated by Caledonian Sleeper. This service does not run daily. Please check the website for details: www.sleeper.scot
